Did you eat your spinach today?

Toot... toot!

You better eat it quick (maybe can and all like Popeye) and brace yourself because this is the second half of Monday. Isn't that boat cute?

Interesting Light house boat!

The view from the Astoria column. What is the Astoria column you might ask.
Well, it's this thing of coarse. What's this thing. A long time ago, like 1930ish. Astoria city council made this big thing. It has Astoria's history on it like Lewis and Clark stuff.
You can climb clear to the top and we did. One hundred and sixty nine stairs. Shane counted.
I stopped in the middle, and 2 other times. I was no longer a spring chick! We made it to the top and tried to hit Shane's mom and dad with a great big loogey. (No, we would never do that..) Well, anyways...

This ship wreck is in Warrenton.

Shane and I decided that we were going to find something really special and we did. Does this house below look familiar? come on... think hard... think treasure, the pirate one eyed Willy, and Goonies.
Yes, this is the gooney house. It's fixed up a lot more, but it's it.
While Shane and I were there.
We started to hear arf...arf...arf... and I'm thinking. Uh, Oh! I really have let my imagination get the best of me because now I'm starting to hear Jacob (from twilight)! So we went to find the source of the noise and this is what we found.

Sea Lions! Aren't they cute? Apparently, These little humongous guys are causing a few problem's in the Astoria town. They lay against all the boats and people can't get in their boats. They stink, although I didn't think they were that bad. They eat all the local fish.

The people of Astoria have tried hauling them away and they keep coming back.
Let them stay, I say. Make a tourist attraction out of it. They're cut little humongous guys!
Especially Jacob!Oooh.... He's telling me goodbye. Goodbye Jacob-
Love, Lacy

I love the pictures, I really want to visit there someday.
P.S. Jacob looks great with some facial hair!

Lacy, just loved reading through several entries on your blog... First, you remind me SO much of my oldest, Amanda. She moves big fuzzy catepillars and earthworms and anything she comes across if its in the way of foot traffic so the little babes don't get stepped on!

And I'm with you on the sea lions - make it an attraction and bring money in through tourists - just keep those sweet sea lions!

Second, congrats to your hubby! So happy for him and for you for his success at the show!!!

Thirdly, you have got just THE most beautiful children ever! Oh my gosh, I enjoyed lookingg at some of their photos of starting back to school, going to the zoo, and bath time! ha ha It was looking through my own photo albums of my two girls (now 20 and 23) from years ago! Loved loved loved it!!! Hope you have a wonderful week!
