Questen's field trip to the fish hatchery

The fish hatchery was located in this gorgeous canyon!
The kids learned about the different stages of fish and were able to see the fish at each size. It was actually very enteresting!

They were able to feed the fish.

I hope they are all trout and rainbows and a perauna didn't slip by because they were re-ea-dy to eat!

They learned about fly fishing and bugs also.

A special cuddly visitor showed up at lunch time to teach them about fire prevention.

This is my favorite picture of the day!

This was Questen's class.

The last thing the kids did was pretend they were migrating birds. They had to go over roads by hawks etc. Questen is the one rolling under the "telephone wire."
He did great on the opstacle course. He was fast!
I'm ashamed to say this was my first field trip with him. I've never felt like I could leave my girls. It was great and I plan on going on many more!
