Women's Conference

Wow! It was a whirl wind women's conference and I just want to write down a little bit while it is still fresh in my mind...
There was spring everywhere crab apple trees in pink bloom and masses of purple and pink tulips everywhere! Our heavenly father is a masterful artist, isn't he?
While I was there, my mind kept thinking of the earlier saints and how they would gather together. I imagined being at the first relief society gathering with Emma and how wonderful it would have been to feel the love and support of each women present there. Then a thought hit me, It was the same. The things that were taught back then are the same today. Principles of prayer, scripture study, attending meetings, love, and charity make us modern women akin to those of old. It amazes me to think of it!

I left my house, Wednesday night thinking that I couldn't wait to get away. I don't think we'd even made it to our room and I just wanted to be home with my sweet little mischievous babies and my wonderful husband.

But I am so grateful to have gone and experience the sweetness and unity of the women. I love how I was reminded of Christ's love for me. How each one of is so important! One of my favorite messages came from a chorister from BYU Hawaii. Yes a chorister. When each of us walk into a room the whole room changes. Even if we think nobody notices. Everyone of us makes a difference and we are all important and special. We are children of our heavenly father.
I wish I could express all that I felt but I can't find the words so this will have to do.
I can't wait to go next year!
A big thanks to my mom and Shane for taking good care of my kids!
(Hunny, Next year mom's going with me... you know what that means...)
