I had a bad hair year...

For Valentines day, My sweet hubby bought me a gift certificate to Kat's salon. It was enough, I knew I could not only get a much needed cut, but highlights to.

Two years ago, I'd just had Lilla and I was feeling a little need for change. I cut my hair off and donated it to locks of love. It was cut in an A-line bob above my chin. That was the last time I've sat in a salon chair!
(If you look to the side at my family picture you can see what my hair looked like. That was a taken a few months after I cut it. My hair had already grown 2 or 3 inches.)


Really it's been a bad hair year for two years...It's been two years since I've had a hair cut! (Except wacking on it by myself her and there. ) It's been 9 years since I've had any color in my hair. (Except two years ago, I put a 24 wash in my hair that just made it shiny.) I know as a cosmetologist, I should be ashamed of myself...
I know, I'm hearing ya, "Girl...what were you thinkin?"
I was way excited to get something girly done. Can you believe Shane has actually said that he thought I was high maintenance. His sister's told him what high maintenance women where really like. He now knows I don't fit in that category.

I debated on the color of the highlights and I waited a while to make the appointment so I would be fresh for spring. This picture shows the highlights really well.

My sweet cousin Amber made a comment on my Halloween post Witchy women .

Amber lovingly called me a Dork and said my hair looked good straight and that she had never seen it long and straight before. I realized, most of my Vernal friends probably haven't and If they did it was back in high school. High School meant no flat iron and very frizzy straight hair.

So that's why I've done a blog on my new hair do.

I'm excited to feel like a girly girl again.

I'm vowing to not take 2 years for a hair cut ever again!
